I am doing a 16 week training for the utah valley marathon in June. Today was the first day. I have been running consistantly for a few weeks but my milage is not high. I only had to do 3 miles today and it was kind of hard. I have been trying to increase my speed because right now I'm running about 10 minute miles. Today I ran 9 minute miles so that was nice, I just hope I can keep up with this training schedule.

Don't worry about speed as you build mileage. That will come. My wife ran 11:30 min/miles until she started building distance, now she runs 9:30 min/miles. My rule is as follows; "if you can run far slow, you can run short fast". Just worry about your mileage right now and enjoying being out there. The rest will fall into place later in the training plan. Good luck and we'll see you at Utah Valley Marathon.

Well today the first three miles were a lot easier than Monday. The last mile was a little hard though. Still feeling sore from Monday. Glad I'll be back to just 3 miles tomorrow. :) Excited to do 5 on Saturday. Hopefully it will be nice and I can do them outside. The treadmill gets so boring.

Oh man my legs were so tired today. But I did it, just a little slower than Monday. That's alright though. My right knee is bothering me a little last night and this moring, I guess I'll have to stretch a little better. Looking forward to running outside on Saturday! Hope it's nice.

Today's run was awesome! I finally got to run outside! It felt so good! So much better than the tredmill.

I finished in 45 minutes so about 9 min. miles. :) yay! better than 10 min. miles! Oh how I've missed running!

Back to the treadmill this moring. It's so cold outside, especially at 5:30 in the moring (I have to go that early while Autumn is still sleeping or I can't go.) Felt pretty slugish for the first mile and a half. Felt better by the end of the run.

Logan sent me a bunch of articles on what I should be eating to recover quickly. He is so supportive and sweet. I just love my husband. Looks like I need to improve my diet a little bit. I think I'm also going to start taking iron because I feel extremely tired. Hopefully it helps!

This is the most fun run I've had so far. My husband Logan has a motorcylce race out at Delta so I got to do my run out there. I was SO nice! The weather was perfect and my run went by in a flash.

5:30 am run...kinda scary to run in the dark by myself. I couldn't find my watch and didn't have a 7 miler mapped out...so I ened up doing a 1 mile loop 7 times...:)
